Mockingjay/New Year's Resolutions

I finished Mockingjay! So you know what time it is! Okay maybe you don't. After I finish a book, I want to do something with it. Especially a great book. Today I'll do a book tag (on the series), but let me know what you want me to do next (no book report junk either).

1. What is your favorite book in The Hunger Games trilogy?
Okay so this may be a little confusing, but persevere through. I like The Hunger Games better than Mockingjay, I like Mockingjay better than Catching Fire, and I like Catching Fire better than The Hunger Games. It's like rock, paper, scissors. One is better than another, but another is better than one. Okay since I just went all Confucius on you in that last sentence, how about a visual.

2. How long would you last in the Hunger Games?
I'm definitely not going to die first. I wouldn't go to the cornucopia either. Maybe I can go into whatever wilderness I'm in and make my own weapons. I would probably get to the near end and die. Most likely at the time when Foxface or Clove died.

3. What's the strangest thing you thought was going to happen in the books but didn't?
I thought that near the end of Mockingjay, there would be a whole chapter devoted to who Katniss was going to pick: Peeta or Gale. It seemed like she had no choice. "Gale's working in District Two. *Sigh* Oh well. I guess I have no choice other than Peeta." Ugh Collins.

4. How were you introduced to The Hunger Games?
My very first encounter with the series was when my brother began reading it. It was about three years before it gained high popularity and I though it was just some stupid hunting book my brother was reading.
My friends began reading it, and the movies were fixing to come out, so I felt pressured to begin it. I asked my red-head (don't call her ginger-it annoys her) church friend, who always talks about it, to let me borrow it.
On top of my pressure to beat the movie, there was also a waiting list. I read it quickly (which wasn't really a challenge since it was so amazing).
One year later, I was encouraged to read Catching Fire. I didn't really know how you could continue the series that well, but I gave it a shot and was glad I did.

5. Favorite moment in The Hunger Games?
It took me a while to think about this one, but the only thought that comes to my head is when the tributes hold hands together in Catching Fire. There are lots of other favorite moments though. No scratch that. Katniss shooting the apple from the pig (or boar)'s mouth. Hilarious. But seriously, there are still some parts that will come to me later.

6. Who is your favorite character?
You're probably going to hate me for this, but I don't really like the three main characters. Katniss complains too much. Peeta seems a little useless during the games, and in Mockingjay, he just gets in the way. Gale seems to only grasp one emotion. I can't decide between two people: Johanna and Rue.

7. What district would you live in?
Okay, by location I would live in District 11. I think that I would fit in District Three the most though.

8. What was the most emotional moment in the books for you?
I hate to be cliché, but Rue's death got to me. How could it not? I mean, look at this!

9. What item from home would you take into the arena with you as a token?
My phone and Wi-Fi router. Jk. Probably my RED [the amazing album by the one and only Taylor Swift(which reminds me that I need to blog about her)] bracelet.

10. What was the most evil plan someone made in the books?
I was absolutely shocked when Coin sent Peeta on the mission in Mockingjay. I though he would kill Katniss. Also, I can't believe Coin would go to such measures.

11. What are you looking forward to most in the film?
I really want to see District 13 and District 12. Also I would love to see the epilogue.

12. Who is your favorite villain in the trilogy?
Buttercup. I know he's not really a villain, but more of a minor antagonist. I enjoy how Katniss feuds with him all the time.

I guess this is it with the Hunger Games Trilogy. I think I'm going to cry. Hey, at least I found this new book called The Testing. I can't wait to tell all of you about it.

New Years Resolution Time!!!
  1. I want to read more. After all, I think this blog needs to be lifestyle/books, but maybe I'll figure it out later. Anyways, I feel as if I don't read enough. I sound really nerdy right now. But seriously, I only read about 2,000 pages last nine weeks. This 7th grader read 17,000 (note that I'm in 8th currently)! OH MY GOODNESS!!!
  2. I want to blog more. I started this blog in December. It's a new year. Why not make a blog related resolution?
"What? No weight loss related resolutions?" I am trying to be reasonable with my resolutions. I don't wish to do anything impossible.

What are your resolutions? Post them in the comments below or just be like the majority of my readers and don't let me have feedback.

Also, don't forget to vote on the right. Have an awesome day!
